Technical Analysis

## 2. Market Context Trading activity for IMOS in recent sessions has come in slightly above average volume, indicating elevated investor interest in the name as semiconductor stocks see increased volatility this month. The broader semiconductor services sub-sector has experienced mixed price action in recent weeks, as market participants weigh conflicting signals around global chip demand: while automotive and industrial chip orders have remained resilient, market expectations for consumer electronics demand have shifted repeatedly amid mixed macroeconomic data. IMOS’s current session gain does not appear to be tied to any material company-specific news release, with most of the day’s momentum aligned with a broad uptick in semiconductor stock performance across the board. Peer companies in the backend semiconductor services space have posted similar intraday gains, confirming the sector-wide nature of today’s price move. ## 3. Technical Analysis From a technical perspective, IMOS is currently trading between two well-documented price levels: immediate support at $34.87 and immediate resistance at $38.55. The $34.87 support level aligns with swing lows recorded earlier this month, and has held during three separate pullbacks in recent weeks, suggesting it is a key floor for near-term price action. The $38.55 resistance level lines up with recent swing highs that the stock has tested twice in the past month, failing to post a sustained close above that level on both prior attempts. The stock’s 14-day relative strength index (RSI) is currently in the mid-50s, indicating neutral to slightly bullish momentum with no signs of near-term overbought or oversold conditions. IMOS is also trading above both its short-term and medium-term simple moving averages, a technical signal that may point to underlying buying interest, though confirmation of a bullish trend would require a sustained break above current resistance levels. ## 4. Outlook Looking ahead to upcoming sessions, IMOS could see a test of the $38.55 resistance level if broad semiconductor sector sentiment remains positive. A sustained close above that resistance level would likely signal a shift to a stronger near-term uptrend, with potential for expanded volatility as market participants reprice the stock’s near-term prospects. On the downside, if broader tech sector sentiment weakens, IMOS could pull back to test the $34.87 support level. A sustained break below that support may lead to increased selling pressure, as the stock would fall below a key level that has held in recent weeks. With no recent earnings data available for IMOS at this time, upcoming macroeconomic releases related to global chip demand, semiconductor industry supply chain updates, and broader tech sector performance will likely be the primary catalysts for the stock’s price action in the coming weeks. Market participants may also watch for any unannounced company-specific developments that could shift sentiment for the name independent of sector trends.
