1. Education: Develop quality human ware and suitably trained human resources through professional programmes in agriculture and allied fields.
2. Research: Undertake mutually reinforced basic, applied and adaptive research and developing, acquiring and refining technologies along with the value chain to address the present and emerging problems and to capture new opportunities.
3. Extension: Ensure transfer of technology effectively and extending assistance in adoption of technology with vibrant extension services taking into account the economic/socio conditions of the various stake holders.
4. Training: Impart training for capacity building of extension professional. Paraprofessionals as well as vocational training of adults, youths and women through conventional as well as open & distance learning.
