Research Unit 8: Fine Rice Research Sub-station, Tilaundha, Banka

The Regional Research Sub-Station in Tilaundha, established in 1961, plays a crucial role in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region. With a focus on quality seed production, wheat research, crop trials, cultivar demonstration, and rice germplasm maintenance, the station supports local farmers and contributes to the advancement of agriculture in Banka District.

· Quality seed production of Kharif and Rabi Crop.
· Conducting research experiments on AICRP on Wheat.
· Conducting Station and Multilocation trials of different crops.
· Demonstration of popular cultivars cultivars of Kharif and Rabi crops to the farmers of Banka District.
· Maintenance of rice germplasm.
