Mandan Bharti Agriculture College, Agwanpur, Saharsa celebrated the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru by organizing Children’s Day on 14^th November, 2024 under the aegis of Associate Dean cum Principal, MBAC, Agwanpur, Saharsa and welcomed the students of adopted school i.e Primary School, Sisai.Massive afforestation work, drawing, painting and speech competition among the students was organized on the eve of Bal Diwas in presence of Panchayati Raj Officer, JDA (Joint Director Agriculture) and two mukhiyas as local leaders. Mandan Bharti Agriculture College Agwanpur Hosts 1st Diksharambh Program for Freshers (Posted on : 03/12/2024)

Mandan Bharti Agriculture College, Agwanpur, Saharsa hosted its first orientation program Diksharambh for newly admitted students under the leadership of Principal Dr.Arunima Kumari. Chief Guest Kosi range DIG Shri Manoj Kumar graced the occasion, which began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and worship of Goddess Saraswati, signifying wisdom and learning. Dr.Arunima Kumari highlighted education role in personality development and societal responsibility as well as need of agriculture education, urging students to excel as agriculturegraduates and responsible citizens. The students took oath in Sanskritthat they would fulfil their responsibilities in life with discipline, hard work, and dedication, and would continuously strive to bring positive changes to society.DIG Shri Manoj Kumar inspired students to harness their potential through hard work and discipline.

Monitoring of Practical examinations being conducted at the end of the semester of undergraduate students in MBAC, Agwanpur, Saharsa. The Associate Dean cum Principal, MBAC, Agwanpur, Dr Arunima Kumari, closely monitors the conduct of practical examinations of undergraduate students and emphasises on giving full opportunity to each student to express himself / herself by provisioning of single student at a time viva voce examination instead of batches.

World Environmental Day on 5th June 2024 (Posted on : 11/06/2024)

World Environmental Day on 5th June 2024 was celebrated at Mandan Bharti Agricultural College, Agwanpur, under the chairmanship of Dr. Arunima Kumari, Associate Dean-cum-Principal. The event was graced with the presence of Shri Vaibhav Chaudhary, District Magistrate, Saharsa. In the event, saplings of Rudraksh tree were planted in the college campus and alongside the roadways. Dr. Dilip Kumar Mahto, ADR, RRS, Agwanpur was also present in the event along with scientists and students of the college.

INM training (Posted on : 04/05/2024)

INM training is going on from 30^th April 2024 to 14^th May 2024 at MBAC Agwanpur, Saharsa. 35 participants have been enrolled. During the training all aspects of Integrated nutrient Mangemet will be taught by qualified scientists. During, inaugural session a lecture was delivered by Associate dean-cum-Principal., MBAC, Saharsa on Importance of nutrient management and soil health. JDA (Agronomy), Koshi region also attended the inauguration program.

Training on Mushroom Production Technology (Posted on : 04/05/2024)

A 3 days mushroom training was conducted during 24^th-26^th April 2024 on “Mushroom Production Technology” at MBAC, Agwanpur. In the training 24 farmers were enrolled and successfully completed the training. They were trained to make mushroom bags by themselves.

The scientists of MBAC, Agwanpur participated in the Agricultural Fair conducted under Shri Ugratara Mahotsava, 2023 at Mahisi Block of Saharsa district under the aegis of Department of Agriculture, GoB, on 16-10-2023. Dr. Sneha Kumari, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, and Mr. Awadesh Kumar participated in the programme as per the directive of Dr. Arunima Kumari, Associate Dean-cum-Principal, MBAC, Agwanpur. Farmers were demonstrated and guided about advantages of millets, water conservation, and organic farming through different models and posters. Additionally, detailed information about natural management of insect pests and diseases was also provided to the farmers. The programme was inaugurated by Honourable MP, Madhepura Shri Dinesh Chandra Yadav.

Farmers of Madhepura district visited different units of MBAC, Agwanpur, Saharsa on 17-10-2023 under DAESI programme of MANAGE, Hyderabad organized by ATMA, Madhepura. The visit was scheduled and coordinated by Dr. Kumar Sanjeev, O/I ATIC under the guidance of Dr. Arunima Kumari, Associate Dean-cum-Prinicpal. Farmers gathered information about various aspects of agriculture by visiting mushroom spawn production unit, low-budget mushroom production unit, entomological lab, and soil analysis lab.

One-Day Farmers' Capacity Building Programme on "Natural Farming '' (Posted on : 13/10/2023)

 One-Day Farmers' Capacity Building Programme on "Natural Farming '' was organized at MBAC, Agwanpur, Saharsa on 12-10-2023 under the mandate of AICRP-IFS (OFR Centre). The programme was convened under the guidance of Dr. Arunima Kumari, Associate Dean-cum-Principal and was organized by Dr. Sneha Kumari, PI,  AICRP-IFS (OFR Centre). Farmers from different blocks of Saharsa district attended the capacity building prorgamme which focused on motivating them to adopt a natural farming approach. Dr. Sneha Kumari, Md. Mahtab Rashid, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, and Mrs. Ashwini Chaudhary provided them with an in-depth knowledge about the same and briefed about the economic and ecological benefits that can be reaped.

Exposure-cum-Sensitization Visit (Posted on : 10/10/2023)

An "Exposure-cum-Sensitization Visit" of the students from Aukahi High School, Sattar Kataiya, Agwanpur; unde School Adoption Programme was conducted at MBAC, Agwanpur, Saharsa on 10-10-2023. The visit was conducted by Dr. Kumar Sanjeev, Dr. Tribhuwan Kumar, Dr. Mukul Kumar, and Dr. D. K. Choudhary. During the visit, the students were sensitized towards the importance of agriculture towards mankind and the blooming career as an agriculturist. Dr. Arunima Kumari, Associate Dean-cum-Principal, acquainted the young ones about different cops which are planted at the college. Dr. Manoj Kumar provided the insights about gardening techniques and Dr. Amit kumar Pandey taught them about soil health.
